Earlier today, Apple unveiled its new 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pro models with Intel’s 8th and 9th generation processors respectively. By far the high-end 2019 MacBook Pro is the most powerful and fastest model in the company’s notebook line. And it is the first time that Apple brings eight cores to MacBook Pro ever.

According to apple, the new MacBook Pro could deliver up to two times faster performance than a quad-core model and 40% more powerful than a six-core model. The new 13-inch MacBook Pro is equipped with an upgraded quad-core processor, while the 15-inch MacBook Pro supports six-core and eight-core processor.

In addition to replacing with new processor, MacBook Pro 2019 also improves the much-maligned butterfly keyboard, though it has the same design with the previous generation of model. Apple says the keyboard’s butterfly mechanism uses a new material, which should be able to significantly reduce the keystroke issues that some users have experienced before, such as sticky, repetitive and missed key presses.

Besides, Apple is reported to provide a free repair plan for the existing MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models that have the keyboard problems. To be specific, Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider will service eligible MacBook, MacBook Air, and MacBook Pro keyboards, free of charge. This news has been confirmed by Apple.

Apple is now speeding up the time it takes to repair laptop keyboards in its retail stores (now it takes just one or two days but four or five days previously). The valid period of the maintenance plan lasts 4 years from the date of the first retail sale of the equipment. Users who have paid for the keyboard repair can contact Apple for refund.

Anyhow, the 2019 MacBook Pro features a stunning Retina display with 500 nits of brightness and support for the P3 wide color gamut and True Tone technology. It also features a blazing fast SSD storage, the Apple T2 Security Chip for enhanced security, and powerful and versatile Thunderbolt 3 ports for data transfer, charging and connecting up to two 5K displays or four external GPUs. Quite attracting, right?

Starting at $1,799 and $2,399 respectively, the updated 13-inch MacBook Pro and 15-inch MacBook Pro are available today through apple.com, the Apple Store app and in select Apple Stores and Apple Authorized Resellers later this week
