Logitech Unveils POWERED Wireless Charger for iPhone

Logitech today announces a new wireless charging stand specifically for iPhone X, 8 and 8 Plus. Labeled POWERED, this wireless charging stand will be available via Logitech’s website and Apple’s online stores later this month, with a price of $69.99.

The POWERED charging stand is designed in the collaboration with Apple, according to Logitech. It is made out of an all-white plastic. The U-shaped cradle and rubberized surface are designed to hold your phone tight even when the device is vibrating.

The POWERED for iPhone supports charging in both landscape and portrait modes. You can put your phone on the U-shaped cradle vertically, or horizontally if you want to watching a movie while the phone is charging. The wireless charging stand holds your phone at a 65° angle, which is quite fit for unlocking iPhone X with FaceID.

Logitech emphasizes that its POWERED wireless charging stand allows users to simply drop their iPhones inside the cradle, without needing to find the perfect alignment. On the contrary, other charging stands on the market typically require the phone to be in exact alignment with the stand to complete the charging circuit.

Logitech’s POWERED charging stand can deliver up to 7.5W of charging for iPhone X, 8, and 8 Plus, even when your phone wears a protective case up to 3mm thick. Apart from the iPhone X, 8 and 8 Plus, it can deliver up to 5W charging for other Qi-enabled phones with similar configuration/dimension, such as Samsung S 9/8/7.

There are several third-party wireless charging accessories available to buy in Apple Store, like the mophie wireless charging base or Belkin Boost Up Wireless Charging Pad, which are all priced at $49.95. Logitech POWERED will be on the list soon.

Do you have the plan to buy the Logitech POWERED wireless charging stand? Are you still waiting for Apple’s multi-device AirPower charging mat? If so, you are likely to meet it before or in this September, on condition that the related reports are reliable.
